Update: The siren test planned for 10 a.m. today has been postponed due to overcast conditions.

Washington County Emergency Management will conduct a series of special tests for the City’s warning siren system at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, May 30.

“The test will only take place if there are NO severe weather threats or conditions at that time,” said WCEM Director Kary Cox. “If the skies are heavily overcast, the test will be postponed. The siren system will be activated multiple times during this special test to allow us to evaluate several aspects of the system and the infrastructure that supports it.”
