Frontier Swimming Pool, located at 312 S.W. Virginia Ave., will reopen beginning at noon on Friday, July 10, Richard Kane YMCA Chief Executive Officer Robert Phillips said today.
The pool was closed on June 25 after the main circulation pump impeller stopped working. City maintenance crews had difficulty locating the correct parts to repair the pump but finally received the last one on Wednesday. The City of Bartlesville owns both Frontier and Sooner swimming pools, which are managed and operated by the Richard Kane YMCA.
“The pump is repaired and working fine,” Phillips said early Thursday. “We will need today to get the water balanced to allow swimmers, but we will be able to open tomorrow (Friday) at noon to return to our normal schedule.”
