The Bartlesville Police Department Honor Guard prepares to execute a 21-Gun Salute during the annual Peace Officers Memorial Day ceremony on May 15.
BPD hosted the event, which included a special BPD Honor Guard presentation and speaker Chris Witt, who serves as the Law Enforcement coordinator for the U.S. District Attorney’s Office.
Peace Officers Memorial Day, proclaimed by President John F. Kenned in 1962, is held to honor peace officers who have been disabled or died in the line of duty.
