In addition to the asphalt preservation project currently underway in the Stonewall housing addition, Street Department crews will be restoring asphalt streets on Deerfield Court, Deerfield Place, and Bridgett Court next week.
Work is set to start on these streets at 7 a.m. Monday. Please do not park in these areas between the hours of 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. until the work is complete.
“These streets did not qualify for the preservation project currently underway in the area but are in need of repair,” said Director of Engineering Micah Siemers. “The Street Department will be doing some edge milling and isolated spot milling in some of the locations that have old patches. They will then come in with some thin asphalt level-up work to get a consistent base layer and top it off with an inch and a half to two-inch overlay.”
The work is expected to take approximately two weeks to complete.
Asphalt preservation project nearing completion
Lane closures are ongoing for the asphalt preservation project underway in the Prairie Ridge and Stone Branch subdivisions, as well as a large number of streets in the Stonewall Drive area between Washington Boulevard and Silver Lake Road.
The project, which got underway last month, is still set to wrap up around the end of the month or first of October, depending on weather. The closures occur between the hours of 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. through the end of September, when the project is expected to be complete.
The following maps indicate closure days per area:
Prairie Ridge – Stone Branch (updated due to rain)
Jefferson – Stonewall (updated due to rain)
Residents in the affected areas will receive a flyer showing closures, as the application requires closures on two back-to-back days to complete each section. These sections will be inaccessible between the hours of 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. on those days. Please do not park within 50 feet of these areas on days scheduled for HA5 application. (Vehicles parked in the affected areas will be towed.)
