DOUGLASS PARK
Douglass Park, named after Douglass School, the City’s all-black school from 1907 to 1970, is a 2.6-acre neighborhood park. This park, strengthened by the adjacent location of the Westside Community Center, serves the surrounding neighborhoods. Douglas School alumni and their families host a Douglassaires Reunion regularly at this park, paying tribute to former students and keeping the Dragon spirit alive.
