Two open house public meetings are planned for June 18 and 19 to give citizens and stakeholders further opportunities to share their views on the community’s current conditions and its future.
The City of Bartlesville is seeking public input as it continues the process of updating its comprehensive plan for growth and development, as part of the City’s ongoing comprehensive plan, Endeavor 2045. The plan is an initiative that was identified in the Bartlesville NEXT Strategic Plan, an organizational blueprint that outlines the City’s priorities, goals and action steps into the foreseeable future.
The meetings will be held at the following locations and times:
Tuesday, June 18 (5-7 p.m.)
AbilityWorks, Inc.
501 S. Virginia Ave.
Wednesday, June 19 (5-7 p.m.)
East Cross Church
820 S. Madison Blvd.
City staff and the consultant, Halff Associates, will be present to introduce and get input from attendees on preliminary context and character area types, roadway contexts, and areas of special consideration. Staff and the consultant will gather community input and answer questions. The informal event will be come-and-go; no formal presentation is planned.
The Endeavor 2045 website and survey are still available to inform and engage the public.
Endeavor 2045 will replace Bartlesville’s current comprehensive plan, which was adopted in 1999. The new comprehensive plan will address topics such as land use, transportation, housing, economic development, infrastructure, parks and recreation, natural resources, environmental sustainability and more, with a focus on managing growth and enhancing quality of life.
