Electronic recycling event ‘big success,’ ESF says

September 20, 2022

Bartlesville recyclers turned out big for last Saturday’s electronic recycling event, held by Electronic Synergy Foundation. ESF Executive Director Scott Metzger says the event was a “big success,” with an estimated 35,000 pounds of e-waste collected.

“That was a lot more than we expected,” Metzger said. “We got there before 10 a.m. and there was already a large crowd waiting for us, so we hit the ground running. We didn’t even have time to set up the tent or signs. It wasn’t until after noon that we didn’t have people lined up.”

The event was held Sept. 17 at Sooner Park.

“Thanks so much to the City of Bartlesville for allowing us to use Sooner Park, and an even bigger ‘thank you’ goes to the all the folks who turned out and make this event a huge success,” Metzger said.
