Solid waste/Sanitation collection
The City of Bartlesville provides waste collection service to both residential and commercial customers providing once a week service to residents and a maximum of six pickups a week for commercial customers.
Automated trucks are used to lift polycarts, which are issued to each customer when service is established. Additional polycarts are available for a small fee.
Yard waste is collected but excess waste must be appropriately tagged/sticker. The City provides two free yard waste collections each year, usually in the spring and fall.
Bulky waste items, or large items such as furniture and appliances, are not collected by the City but may be disposed of at the Osage Landfill at no extra cost by using the City’s clean-up coupon program.
Days of service
Days of service vary depending on the area, and can be determined by viewing the City’s sanitation routes map.
During weeks containing a holiday, customers who would normally have their trash collected on that day will be serviced on Wednesday that week instead. This is the case whether your normal collection day falls before Wednesday or after.
For a list of holidays this year, see 2021 Holiday Calendar. Notices are also published on the City’s website home page, in the City’s e-newsletter, City Beat, and provided to local media for distribution prior to each holiday.
Residential and commercial rates depend on the services provided, and may be upgraded at any time.
Clean-up coupon program
The City of Bartlesville, in coordination with Osage Landfill, provides an annual coupon good for one free trip to the landfill at any time during the year to the City’s Solid Waste customers. The coupon is valid for City of Bartlesville Residential Solid Waste customers only. No commercial accounts or contractors will be permitted. One coupon is issued per customer and may not be duplicated.
The clean-up program is intended to help Bartlesville residents dispose of items typically too large or cumbersome for their weekly trash pick-up.
