Playground replacement starts at Douglass, Robinwood parks

Work has begun on the playground equipment replacement project involving four City of Bartlesville-owned parks, Parks Superintendent Bobby Robinson said this week.

Funding from two previous General Obligation Bond issues has been used to purchase new playground equipment for Sooner, Johnstone, Douglass and Robinwood parks. The equipment will serve ages 2-5 and 5-12 in Sooner and Johnstone parks, and ages 2-5 in Robinwood and Douglass parks.

“We are in the process of removing one of the two playground areas in Douglass Park to make way for the new equipment,” Robinson said.

Robinson said crews will eventually remove the second area of equipment at Douglass Park as well as the playground equipment at Robinwood Park. Work will progress until the new equipment is installed this spring.
