Fire Department ceremony honors OKC bombing victims

The Bartlesville Fire Department held a special ceremony on April 19 to honor those who were killed or injured in the April 19, 1995 bombing of the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building in Oklahoma City.

The ceremony was held at Central Fire Station, 601 S. Johnstone Ave., and attended by elected officials, police and fire department personnel, community leaders and several members of the public.

The ceremony featured a tree dedication of the Survivor Tree seedling planted in front of Central Fire Station, the BFD Honor Guard, a prayer and moment of silence for the fallen and remarks by Fire Chief John Banks and BFD Training Chief/Public Information Officer Bill Hollander.
