Johnstone waterline project underway

Jun 28, 2017

Water Department crews began work recently on a waterline construction project in the downtown area.

Work is underway on Johnstone Avenue between Frank Phillips Boulevard and Adams Boulevard. The project is expected to take at least two weeks to complete, Water Utilities Department Supervisor Red Miller said on June 28.

Traffic interruptions during the project should be expected, he said.

“We’ll be working in the southbound lane of Johnstone, so motorists should expect lane closures throughout the duration of the project,” Miller said.

Miller said a flagger will be on-site to assist with traffic.
