Q&A: Pathfinder repairs north of Lee Lake underway

January 22, 2020

When will the work to stabilize the bank on Turkey Creek just north of Lee Lake be completed? It’s difficult to get through that stretch right now, particularly after it rains.

According to Director of Engineering Micah Siemers, filling along the river bank in this area should conclude in about two weeks, assuming weather cooperates. Once the bank stabilization is finished, work will begin to patch the path. Barring any unusual weather interference, it is expected the project will be finished in approximately one month.

If not today, then Wednesday

Why wasn’t my trash picked up (Monday)?

City offices (excluding emergency services) were closed and trash routes were not collected Monday due to the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday. Monday routes were collected today (Wednesday) instead, which is always the case during holiday weeks when trash routes must be amended. If your regular trash day is Monday, Tuesday, Thursday or Friday and your day falls on a holiday, your trash will be collected the Wednesday of that week. (There are no residential Wednesday routes.)
