Public transit system to host Zoom meetings for input

January 24, 2023

United Community Action Program’s Cimarron Public Transit System is inviting the public to provide input regarding the public transportation plan and Title VI Nondiscrimination and Limited English Proficiency Plan (LEP) for several Oklahoma counties, including Washington County.

UCAP will hold its annual forums Feb. 15 and Feb. 16 via Zoom, or comments may be made via the organization’s website. The plan will be incorporated into the annual application for funding, due to the Oklahoma Department of Transportation’s Transit Program Division in early spring. Comments are due close of March 17.

“Every ride and every rider matters,” said Laura Corff, transit director. “The opportunity for public engagement aides sharing ideas and comments to enhance the rider experience, foster the community and create efficiencies to fulfill the mission to provide safe and reliable public transportation. We are dedicated to maintaining open communication to gain valuable insight as well as strengthen community partnerships.”

Virtual public transportation forums are scheduled:
