Return address changes for City of Bartlesville utility customers

Jan 5, 2016

City of Bartlesville utility customers may notice a different return address when remitting payment by mail this month. But while payments are being processed out of state, the service agreement is still local, according to Administrative Director and Chief Financial Officer Mike Bailey.

“The City uses Arvest Bank’s lock box system to process all utility payments that are sent via mail,” Bailey said. “Arvest recently consolidated their lock box operations to a location in Arkansas. Due to this, the mailing address for all utility payments has been changed to an Arkansas address.”

Previously, payments were remitted to Tulsa. Beginning this month, payments will be processed in Lowell, Ark.

Utility bill payments may also be made in person during regular business hours at City Hall, 401 S. Johnstone Ave., or left in the drop box located in the parking lot, south of the City Hall building. Payments may also be made online.
