BFD pays tribute to 911 victims

The Bartlesville Fire Department Honor Guard held a special ceremony at 9 a.m. Monday in honor of all who lost their lives on Sept. 11, 2001. Sixteen years ago, hijacked planes crashed into the World Trade Center Towers in New York, the Pentagon in Washington D.C. and a field in Shanksville, Pa., killing nearly 3,000 people including 344 firefighters, 23 New York City police officers and 37 Port Authority officers.
