City working with ODEQ to establish debris site

The City of Bartlesville is working with the Oklahoma Department of Environmental Quality to establish a free disposal site for yard debris caused by early morning storms, acting City Manager Mike Bailey said late Tuesday.

“We are working with the State to acquire permitting to establish a site so that Bartlesville residents can dispose of tree limbs and yard debris caused by Tuesday’s storm free of charge,” Bailey said.

The site will be for residential properties only. No commercial dumping will be permitted.

It is not yet known when the site may be established.

“We will make an announcement as soon as we have confirmed the site,” Bailey said.

Other steps to assist residents are also being considered, he said.
