Work on the Tuxedo Boulevard waterline is underway, and lane closures are expected throughout the months-long project, Water Utilities Department Supervisor Red Miller said recently.
The outside, westbound lane is currently closed on Tuxedo Boulevard between Cholwell and Pine streets. More lane closures in the area are anticipated once the project gets fully underway — likely sometime next week, Miller said.
“Next week we’ll start laying waterline and will have traffic limited to two lanes — one each for east- and west-bound traffic,” he said.
Flaggers will be on-site to direct traffic, Miller said.
The project is expected to take four to six months to complete.
