City Beat Q&A: Changes planned for Pathfinder trailhead

January 23, 2018

Are there plans to re-route the Pathfinder entrance in Eastland Shopping Center? Chick-Fil-A has pretty well blocked it off with their drive-through lanes. Also, is Chick-Fil-A ok with people parking in their lot to use that entrance?

There are plans to re-route the Pathfinder Parkway trail in this area with a dedicated trail that will run south of Turkey Creek rather than through the Eastland Shopping Center. At this time, the City is working to acquire the necessary easements and to secure funding to implement this plan (see above story). The proposed plan includes relocating the existing trailhead at Eastland Shopping Center by Chick-Fil-A to the west side of U.S. Highway 75 on property owned by the City, located north of Senor Salsa.

According to Community Development Director Lisa Beeman, for now Pathfinder patrons should consider parking in the Eastland Center parking lot north of the main (west) entrance and walking to the trailhead.

‘Old ice plant’ location plans unknown

What the plans are for the old ice plant on Frank Phillips Boulevard?

According to the Building & Permit Office, nothing regarding this location has been submitted to the City of Bartlesville for review.
