The filing period for City Council candidates is Aug. 6-8. Anyone wishing to file for a seat on the Bartlesville City Council may do so between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. All five seats are subject to election this year.
Successful candidates must be a resident of their ward for at least six months prior to the filing date, be at least 25 years of age and have no prior felony convictions. City Council terms are two years.
Contests and withdrawals must be filed no later than 5 p.m. on Aug 10. The election will be held Nov. 6.
