The City Council on Monday voted 5-0 in support of a schedule for projects approved by voters in the March 6 General Obligation Bond election.
The total package includes projects totaling $16.5 million — $10.25 million of which is expected to be issued in the first tranche, or series of bonds issued. Another $3.35 million will be issued this fall, making this year the highest in bond issuances in the City’s history.
“In our history, we have never issued that many bonds in such a short period of time,” acting City Manager Mike Bailey told the council Monday.
Projects set for funding with the first tranche are:
- Pumper truck for Fire Department — $619,200
- Server refresh citywide — $304,500
- HVAC improvements at Bartlesville Public Library — $181,900
- Christmas decorations for the downtown area — $20,600
- Price Fields Complex Phase 3 — $3,654,500
- Price Tower Green — $1,776,500
- Lighting for Daniels soccer fields — $355,295
- Kiddie Park perimeter fence — $101,500
- Golf Course bunker repair — $101,500
- Skate park — $355,300
- City gateway signage — $101,500
- Consistent signage in City parks — $91,400
- Solar lights for Lee Lake Trail — $32,300
- Quail Place Tributary improvements — $523,700
- Downtown streets overlay project — $2,030,300
